Upcoming stuff!
        The Pterodactyl Hunt is Friday night (2 October) at 8.  Players
report to Parrish Parlours then, monsters earlier.  Monsters with questions
about costumes or methods of extinction should contact Charles Danforth
before then.  Those of you who haven't signed up to be monsters should
consider it your civic duty to do so.  (More than ten orcs and hobgoblins
are necessary, wethinks.)

        The trip to the Maryland Renaissance Faire is on Sunday (4
October).  Andrea Hall is the leader of the expedition; contact her for
details.  It's about a 2-hour drive; we have a van; and it costs about $10
to get in (cheaper than the Pennsylvania one).

        Lloyd Alexander is still 10 October.  Those of you who weren't at
Saturday's meeting missed an impassioned plea by Jove Graham '96 to be
allowed to go.  Yes, he wrote us a letter detailing his speculative fictive
exploits, and we had a vote.  We voted to let him join us.  Mua ha ha ha. 
[Btw, it's Discipline who keeps putting in those Mua ha things.  I have no
part in them.  I'm not even sure what they mean.  --B]  [Btw, "btw" means

We decided to postpone the video revote till we ask McCabe if they'd house
our movies, should we vote to get some.

Bhadrika has audio tapes of Isaac Asimov singing filks and telling jokes at
various seminars she has attended.  She's offered to have a listening
sometime, so interested beings should contact her.

I, Discipline, have been contacted by creatures from outer sp - no, the
Student Life Committee, really.  They're having a meeting with
representatives from groups which have a distinct community within
Swarthmore at large, so I'm going tonight to see what's up.  I don't know
the agenda or who else has been invited, but I figure this is more
important than, say, the Dean's Search Committee.  SWIL has something of a
reputation for being exclusive, so it would be nice if we could dispel
it....  [Poof.  --B]  [There goes another one. --D]

The Sci-Fi channel [sic] may, in a few years, own all broadcasting rights
to the original Star Trek series.  We thought you should know.
