Waldman Reply-To: presidents @ swil.org To: I Have The Power to Make You Do Events Subject: [EVENTS] This Week in SWIL #6 Tonight is Swarthmore's annual Sager Genderfuck dance. Dress up in your least, and party with your fellow Swatties, at the sketchiest you'll ever see them! (Or, perhaps, they'll ever see you.) Or... you can read heartwarming stories about fuzzy bunnies, at tonight's Saturday Night SWIL, which will be a Children's Story Reading, held in Science Center 161, far away from the action. We'll probably keep the actual fuzzy bunnies to a minimum. Bring stories! (Incidentally, if you don't own your own, the Ville Library's open till 5 today, and library cards are free if you're a Swarthmore resident. Living in a dorm counts.) NEXT WEEK's Saturday night SWIL will be a reading of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Radio Scripts, probably in SCI 101, taking advantage of their cool projector. (The radio scripts are like the book, only better, and with optional British accents. The books are the most fabulously wonderful thing ever written, with the possible exception of the radio scripts.) ALSO, IN THE NEXT WEEK: Next week's SWIL movie (Monday, 10:00 p.m., SC 101)) will be "Star Trek: First Contact." The topic of science fiction discussion table (Tuesday, 5:30 p.m., Upper Sharples), will also be "Star Trek." The Doublestar/SWIL gathering known as "DoubleSWIL" will occur Friday, at 8 p.m., in Bryn Mawr's multicultural center. Contact Sarah Hartman, shartman @ brynmawr.edu, for directions/if you have questions. The Grand Melee, a foam sword melee/tournament will be next Saturday, at 2 p.m., in Kohlberg gardens. Winners receive foam swords. AND, IN THE NOT-SO-DISTANT FUTURE: Walpurgisnacht, our annual reading of tales of "Horror, Fertility, and Trees," will be in Bond, Saturday, April 24th, at 8 p.m., unless space hates us.. -- This message is coming to you via the SWIL Events list. If you have questions, comments, or concerns, please e-mail presidents @ swil.org
