Those who were tpere we..e Anita, Esther, toe Weyrleaders, Jack,. Alison, Debbtj, Devior..rs, Jon. Irene, Jay. Ruth, Tim, Simon, Julie, Andrew (a prospecti",.e), Claudia, Steve, Gavin, Vinntj, Robert, Carin, Andrew, Dan, and Sherry, in no particular order For a change, I "11 put the most important stuff f'irst. I ('Shoshanna:) wrote to Ll.oyd AI;exander, asking him to come back to us. He, called me Saturday morning :t'o satj that his schedule was Jammed and he couldn't make it, {{but}} .how about if' some of' us came over to hi'S house sometime? I vigor'uusly assented. (I nearly died!) This is how it will work. He has invited up to thirty peopl~ to visit him on Sunday April 14, at 10 AM, f'or about an hour and a half. (He lives three miles from here; don't worry about transportation) The. people going will be chosen by lottery (assuming that more th~n thirty, usant to go...) weighted in favour of: seniors, people with cars, non-members over members (that's the SWIL meaning of member a~d non-member, of course!), and active people, as measured by recent attendance, over inactive people. Unless fewer than thirty of us usant to go, this offe.r is not open to anyone not on the SWILlist. Anyone ",'rio usants to go and di.d not sign up at the meeting, get your nerne to me or ..led -{{in writing)r as soon as possible. Less staggering, but with a closer deadline for anyone usho is interested: use mad'e a near-final decision on a T-shirt. The design should be posted on the SWILboard. The shirts will be black ink on gold; if we can't get gold we will {-{not}} settle for yellow, but 1&;:1.11 susitch to lavende:r. Jed and Jack will be ordering them over break, so iF you want one .I.J.cu {{must}} sign up your name and size on the list, either the one on: the SWILboard or in the file T-SHIRT in the SWIlaccount, and get six dollars to ..led, {{before Friday}}. That price may not be exact; inaccuracies will be refunded or requested as appropriate. Und,e,r no conditions will the shirt cost more than $7. fof anyone has a concTete proposal for a different picture or slogan, tell me or Jed ASAP; if enough people want to switch we'll postpone: oT'dering. By a unanimous .~.ecision we will be giving Lloyd Alexander a T~shir.t.- Iwhen we go to his house. The cost of the shirt will probably come out of th e speaker bud;get, but there is as/mall chanc e that we fJJill have to I cough up 25 cent-s each. We also made a near-final decision on a second, schlock movie for around exam week. We chose {{Santa Claus Con~uers the Martians}}, ~hich is as schlock as t.hey come. It will cost us $20 rental, plus shipping and proJectionist'..s fees. Again, if anyone has another proposal, ma,ke it soon. And whire' we "re on the subJect of movies, our first movie "O~, the semester, {{flectropolis}}, will be shown on Sunday March 3~. At "the next meeting (afteT' break) we will make posters advertising it. HEM is coming alol1g fairly fJJell, but is still woefully. thin. Pleas,e. 'Submit stories, :paems, art, non-fiction, whatever. An all-colLege mailing advertising it ~ill soon be done by ..led, Jay, and Sherry. There will be a .filksing on the night of the first Saturday fJJe're back, in either a Dana~ell basement or a Lodge. Jed is arranging space. Be sure to come to the meeting that day to find out about it! SWIL ~i 11 probabLY be running the pterodac ty 1 Hunt at Spr ing Fl in-g',-- 1'"i~j Ii8ii -.- since it is tradi~ional that ~e do. Let's start thinking about that aver break. The Weyrleaders :have named .Jack SWILls Seeker of- Truth and Penitence. .111 **bamf!~ I .111.Jed and Shos!1Ennal
