HOW TO GET TO SWILCON '98:

By Plane:

The Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) is about 15 minutes away from SWILCon by car. Taxis cost about $20 - $25 from the airport/hotel to SWILCon, and shuttle service from the airport to the official hotel, the Courtyard by Marriott, will be availible. To drive from the airport to the convention, follow the From Philadelphia directions. For directions from the hotel to the con, see below.

By Train:

Take AMTRAK (or SEPTA Rail, if from the Philadelphia area) to Philadelphia's 30th Street Station. Take the R3 SEPTA Regional Rail to Swarthmore Station. Walk up the hill toward the large building along the tree-edged walkway and follow the signs to registration. You can also drive from 30th Street to the con using the From Philadelphia directions.

By Car:

From New York and North: Take the New Jersey Turnpike South to exit 6, the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Take the PA turnpike west to exit 25, I-476. Take I-476 south to exit 2. Turn left under the overpass at the light. Take a right at the second light, rt. 320. Following 320, take a right at the intersection of Chester Road and onto Chester Road. The next light will be the entrance to the college, on the right. Follow the signs to parking and registration.

From Washington D.C. and South: Take I-95 North to I-476 North. Take I-476 to exit 2. Turn right up the hill at the light. Take a right at the second light, rt. 320. Following 320, take a right at the intersection of Chester Road and onto Chester Road. The next light will be the entrance to the college, on the right. Follow the signs to parking and registration.

From Philadelphia:

EITHER: (From the airport, Philadelphia county, etc) Take I-95 South to I-476. Take I-476 to exit 2. Turn right up the hill at the light. Take a right at the second light, rt. 320. Following 320, take a right at the intersection of Chester Road and onto Chester Road. The next light will be the entrance to the college, on the right. Follow the signs to parking and registration.

OR: (From Bucks county, etc) Take the PA turnpike west to exit 25, I-476. Take I-476 south to exit 2. Turn left under the overpass at the light. Take a right at the second light, rt. 320. Following 320, take a right at the intersection of Chester Road and onto Chester Road. The next light will be the entrance to the college, on the right. Follow the signs to parking and registration.

From the Convention Hotel (the Courtyard Marriott):

Exit the hotel complex the only way you can and turn left on Bartram Avenue. After about 1/4 of a mile, turn left onto the on-ramp of I-95 Southbound. Take I-95 South to I-476. Take I-476 to exit 2. Turn right up the hill at the light. Take a right at the second light, rt. 320. Following 320, take a right at the intersection of Chester Road and onto Chester Road. The next light will be the entrance to the college, on the right. Follow the signs to parking and registration.
